The ACT Down Syndrome Association (ACTDSA) is here to provide support and information to families with a member who has Down syndrome, to promote improvements in the quality of life of persons with Down syndrome and to stimulate, within the wider community, an awareness of the very real abilities and needs, of people with Down syndrome.

The ACT Down Syndrome Association’s GALA BALL and Charity Auction is on Saturday 21st November at the Hellenic Club.

This event is the primary fund-raiser for the association to enable it to continue its valuable work respond to the needs of people with Down syndrome as well as their families and carers, so that they may fulfill their potential for successful and happy lives.

The theme this year is ‘Outer Space’

LOCATION: The Hellenic Club of Canberra, located on Matilda Street, Woden ACT

DATE: Saturday 21st November 2009

BLAST OFF: 19:00 hours (7pm)

PRICE: $95 each or $900 for a table of 10

INCLUDES: Canapés and pre dinner drinks, three course meal and a couple of bottles of wine on each table.
Entertainment will be again by Spectrum Big Band, Legs Dance and the Canberra Dance Troupe as well as raffles silent auctions.
Live auctions will be by auctioneer of the year, Richard Keeley.
MC for the evening is the ABC’s Tim Gavel

DRESS: Black Tie (optional), but feel free to dress up in your favourite Klingon outfit and bring any props
